Amy La is a designer, advocate, and student of life.
While studying health at USC, I realized I enjoy working in collaborative teams and building products that improve people's quality of life.
I'm interested in building a variety of products, but there's a special place in my heart to work on products that improve well-being and health. Currently, I am a product manager at Miricyl and Spoonfull, working on products that prioritize mental health.
How I apply healthcare to design + product:
01. Empathy
Although my empathy started with my premed journey, my mission to improve the well-being of others never left. It fulfills me to create products that impact individuals in this way. In addition, empathy helps me make better business and design decisions for users.
02. Research
My healthcare background prepared me well for conducting research, especially my Health Behavior Research Methods class where I created my own research survey and conducted a statistical analysis of the results. These skills can be applied during user research to drive product decision making.
More about me.
🥐 A big foodie.
I love exploring new foods in different places. Being a native San Franciscan and studying in Los Angeles has definitely been great in terms of trying out local restaurants and venues. Next stop? New York.
📷 A storyteller.
I love documenting my life on YouTube! I enjoy vlogging and taking aesthetic photos of little moments, such as cafe runs or dinner with friends.
🙇♀️ A fellow INFJ.
I'm a fan of Myers Briggs! While I love socializing, I also love my "me" time. You can find me reading a good book, watching a feel-good show, or doing other solo adventures!
